Sunday Mass is at the centre of the Christian Community and every Baptised Catholic is requested to join in the Sunday Mass

Vestment Colours

Colour of the vestments worn by the priest signify the season:-

Green for Ordinary Sundays
White for special feasts or seasons
Red for feasts of martyrs
Purple for Lent and Advent
Gold on special feasts e.g. Easter Sunday
Purple is usually used at funeral Masses although White is becoming more popular - as a sign of hope!

Music should always reflect the occasion and be chosen with care and diligence.
